Without a doubt, last weekend's weather was some of the best we've had in a very long time at a Spring Sizzler. Usually it's cold and rainy, sometimes we get rained out for 2 or 3 weeks before we actually get to run the race. With much warmer temps than we had the previous week, at our open practice session, no one was sure what the track conditions would be, but we figured it out and the #29 ran great, with Charlie in the car. If he hadn't lost his front brakes on lap 2, he might have won that race..but was able to hold on to a top 5...we'll take it, lol. They decided to let the rookie, Marc drive the #17 to see what he could do, and he managed to keep the car in 1 piece and finish in the top 10, and we will take that as well..not bad :)
There will be some changes to Team RDR in the near future, i'm not quite sure how it will all work out but i'll know more very soon.
That being said, all in all we had a pretty good weekend of racing..the cars didn't get wrecked and finished well, and we had a great weekend of camping...
Congrats and Thanks to the whole crew..Great Job!!
Our thanks to "trackgirl" for all the great photos, without them this post would only be my boring text, lol :)
